GUIDE How to Install macOS Ventura on PC [Intel/AMD]

I have WD SN850 (macOS) and SN750 (Windows), and a number of Samsung and Lexar SATA SSDs. No panic logs found in Library/Logs/DiagnosticsReport, see panic video here. Note that kernel extensions in the backtrace are different each time, I've seen lilu, whatevergreen, virtualsmc in there. I think...

GUIDE How to Install macOS Ventura on PC [Intel/AMD]

Pretty sure it is. Once I added this SSDT and reset the NVRAM I have never had a panic on shutdown. I removed the SSDT and reset the NVRAM again, panic is almost immediately back. Before this it may not panic on all shutdowns, but the panic is frequent enough so that reboots during the install...

GUIDE How to Install macOS Ventura on PC [Intel/AMD]

I figured it out! My system was missing SSDT-XSPI. And I can't just use any simple SSDT-XSPI, It seems it must include a _DSM method. I discovered this as I was experimenting Olarilla's all in one SSDT (yes I know a lot of people say it's bad) and it gives no panic. So I basically disassembled...

GUIDE How to Install macOS Ventura on PC [Intel/AMD]

Please take a look at this one. This is the EFI I've been using before I started trying to install Ventura, it should be a lot cleaner

GUIDE How to Install macOS Ventura on PC [Intel/AMD]

Alright, I’ll post another EFI a bit later. This one was actually modified by a guy on another forum, I’ll send the EFI I used to use which hopefully is much cleaner.

GUIDE How to Install macOS Ventura on PC [Intel/AMD]

Here is my EFI. Panic video is here. I recorded slomo so you can see everything clearly. It mentions virtualsmc and lilu in the backtrace.

GUIDE How to Install macOS Ventura on PC [Intel/AMD]

I already linked to my EFI zip in another forum above. As for the panic, the panic during the install just shows a frozen progress bar, but I can show you the panic on shutdown of the installer. Will post the video when I’m back home.

But I already have 0.8.5 and latest kexts (according to kextupdater). I didn’t start trying installing Ventura until 0.8.4 got released.

GUIDE How to Install macOS Ventura on PC [Intel/AMD]

I have a Z390 hack and it requires AvoidRuntimeDefrag quirk. Ventura (and its installer) needs it disabled or it will panic, but to go pass the dreaded “firmware upgrade could not be installed“ error I need to have it enabled. I’m aware there’s another guide on this and I’ve tried changing...

GUIDE How to Flash Custom Firmware on Thunderbolt Card for macOS

Complete EFI folder, system log, and IOReg is here. The audio device named "K3" is connected to the problematic port, as can be found in the log. Near where K3 was successfully enumerated you can see some error messages, I suspect that has something to do with this issue. I noticed that ports...
