Hello!

I built my HackBook Pro and it works good so far (As far as i can understand that)

But one of the (obvious) remaining problems is the Headphone/Mic Combo-Jack.

I use layout id 13. With this i get Speaker and internal Mic. When i plugin a headset it showes me that headphones are plugged in but no sound and no external mic.
I get disorted sound if i unplug it about 2mm.

The only layout where my headphones work is 11. On 11 i get headphones working and external mic visible next to internal mic but the mic does not work. Speakers and internal Mic also dont work on 11.

I also tried all other layouts but cant get everything to work.

1 - only internal Mic
3 - only internal Mic
11 - only Headphones work, ext. Mic in visible but dont work
13 - Speaker + internal Mic
14 - only internal Mic
15 - only internal Mic
21 - Speaker + internal Mic
22 - Speaker + internal Mic
23 - Speaker + internal Mic
24 - Speaker + internal Mic
28 - Speaker + internal Mic
77 - Speaker + internal Mic

I use latest OpenCore have Monterey installed.

Im new to this so pls be nice :p
And i hope you can help me!

@St0kki Your configuration is not as per the guide.

Here are a few issues

Make the following changes to your config.plist

- Kexts loading order is not correct. Important Kexts should load first.
- Remove the CPU spoof. Comet Lake is natively supported and you don't need to spoof.

Most importantly, the ACPI is not patched. See patching DSDT for more information.

See fixing audio distortion for more information. Once it's fixed, you should be able to get the Audio from your headphone jack as well.

Ok, i will look into that. Like i mentiond, im a noob. I built my EFI with the OpenCore guide.
Where did i spoof my CPU? See, i have no idea... :p
Should i start from scratch with guides from this site?

Well, everyone starts from somewhere. The one who is pro, has failed several times too ;)

Kernel>Emulate

Yes, indeed. Highly recommended. We're still updating the guides.

Before i do anything.
I have a Samsung PM991 NVMe drive in my system.
In the „dortania“ guide they mention that this drive makes some problems.
I also have a „SANDISK Ultra 3D“ NVMe M.2 and a „Transcend TS2TMTS830S“ Sata M.2 drive. I would prefer the Sandisk if i should swap drives.
Should i swap drives or am i good to go wirh the Samsung PM991?

SSD/Storage Options that are NOT supported:

  • Samsung PM981 and PM991(commonly found in OEM systems like laptops)
